Develop Social Communication Skills!

Over the course of 16 weeks in a small group setting of no more than 8 children, your child will learn to think about their thinking (what is known as metacognition) in order to better develop an awareness of themselves and others. Students will learn to read the environment and to direct their attention to the verbal and nonverbal signals a peer may be giving in an age-appropriate way. We have four groups, spanning ages from kindergarten through tweens.

The Caregiver Collective

Facilitated by Kristen Rudd and Emily Lucas, Graduate Student Interns, supervised by Rebekah Hess, LPC, RPT, EMDR-Trained

This open, ongoing group is designed for caregivers seeking connection, support, and space to process the emotional weight of caregiving. Meeting on Fridays, this group offers a consistent community where caregivers can show up as humans first — not just in their roles.

Together, we will:

  • Build meaningful community with others who understand the caregiving experience

  • Validate the complexity and emotional toll of the role

  • Create space to process stress, grief, frustration, and exhaustion

  • Practice sustainable self-care and nervous system regulation

  • Explore boundaries, identity, and resilience during challenging times

Caregiving can be isolating and overwhelming, especially in the current climate. This group provides a supportive environment where participants can feel seen, heard, and understood — without judgment or expectation to “have it all together.”

AGE GROUP: Open to adult caregivers in all seasons of caregiving

WHEN: Weekly sessions on Fridays beginning March 27-August 7, 2026

TIMES: 12:00-12:50pm

WHERE: Virtual

ATTENDANCE: This is an open therapy group with spots available.
