Business Coaching for Play Therapy Practices

Helping Play Therapists & Child-Focused Clinicians Build Sustainable, Aligned, and Impactful Businesses

Grow your play therapy practice with the same presence, playfulness, and connection you offer to children and families.

Running a practice that serves children, teens, and caregivers is rewarding—and complex. Unlike general therapy practices, play therapy and child-focused work come with unique business considerations, including:

  • Engaging caregivers as part of the treatment process

  • Balancing developmental needs with therapeutic models

  • Creating safe, creative spaces that honor children’s voices

  • Training teams in specialized approaches that aren’t always widely understood

Build a partnership of care with your business

At Ensemble Therapy, we’ve spent over a decade building a thriving child-centered group practice. Now, we’re offering business coaching tailored for play therapy private and group practices so you don’t have to figure it out alone.

Who It’s For

  • Solo private practice owners who want to bring their practice into alignment with their values (with or without future plans to expand)

  • Therapists ready to grow from a solo child practice into a group model

  • Group practice owners working with children, adolescents, and families who want clarity in leadership and systems

  • Clinicians feeling like the “bottleneck” in caregiver communication, scheduling, or supervision

  • Practice leaders seeking to grow their team’s skills in evidence-based, child-focused care

What we’ll work on together

Our coaching is customized to reflect the unique needs of child and adolescent practices, and may include:

  • Clarifying your vision and values as a play therapy leader

  • Building sustainable leadership roles to support caregivers and families

  • Streamlining systems for child/adolescent scheduling, caregiver communication, and family-friendly policies

  • Expanding offerings such as therapeutic groups, caregiver workshops, or school partnerships

  • Strengthening team culture so clinicians feel supported in often isolating child-focused work

Our Approach

We know that supporting children means supporting their entire ecosystem—parents, siblings, schools, and communities. Coaching with us isn’t about cookie-cutter business strategy; it’s about weaving together your clinical expertise with practical, sustainable systems that truly serve kids and families.

You bring your passion for working with children. We’ll bring our lived experience building a child-centered group practice that continues to grow and thrive. Together, we’ll create a business that feels as playful, connected, and purposeful as the therapy you provide.
